I grew up in New Orleans, a city that sits at the mouth of the largest river system in North America. Consequently, it's a place shaped by flow, drainage, sedimentation and silt, but also by the overlapping histories of different communities, caught between current and tide. I don't know if this is why, but I'm most interested in my artwork in questions of layering and the resonances created by the overlapping of images and references.
I received a B.F.A. in painting and drawing from L.S.U. in 1986 and now live in New Haven, Connecticut. Some of my work may be seen online via this website and at the following urls: http://www.rhizome.org, http://www.soundtoys.net and http://www.artedigital6.cubasi.cu, http://myartspace.com/tully/. I am the founder of Pixel Pops!, a traveling series of annual digital art exhibits begun in 2004.
